Tonight I made myself read another chunk of my drivers Manuel! Power through! Of course it was accompanied by superb music and this selfie.

You may notice that this book is different from other drivers books you'd pick up from the state office and you are correct. I have a somewhat personalized version via Savannah. She wrote funny notes and pictures in it to motivate me to learn! It's been a hilarious and life inspiring journey (eh... :) ) I highly suggest this form of studying, having a friend who already did the work colour your book and make it more fun. Thank The Lord for funny friends.
Disclaimer: This did not start out as a while bunch of Savannah drivers Ed comedy material, but it has taken a turn that way (+1 for pun!). So enjoy and maybe you'll learn a thing or two as well! Also, something you should know is out favourite driving catch line is "I always wear my seatbelt because YOLO!" It's scribbled everywhere in this thing! :)

Can I Quote You?

Today I found the coolest site.  You type in whatever you want and then you can make it into a design-y poster! I love it! Also, you can share your work through email, pinterest, twitter, facebook, stumbleupon, what have you! Warning: Super addicting.

And Every Mother's Child is Gonna Spy

I used to think the lyrics to this carol was "every mother's child is gonna smile to see if reindeer really know how to fly". It never made sense to me and I was always pretty upset about it. But I never would say anything because who wants to be Scrooge. I was so relieved to find out the real words. Merry Christmas!

P.s. Santa's getting what he really wants this year.

Beautiful Beauty Makers

I have loved natural tree pencils since I first laid eyes on them. And today, bum bum ba bum! Ashley gave me coloured pencils for Christmas! Yay! So excited. I believe what materials you use to make beautiful things should also be beautiful so that you are constantly inspired. Thanks Ashley!
Regular pencils from Etsy. Now I just need some of these to remind my friends how much more stylish I am then them (haha).

Coloured pencils from the Curiosity Shoppe.

I stumbled upon a hilarious pinterest page today. It's called Stupid-Funny and is operated by Vejde Gustafsson. It is full of off-beat comedy and surprises. Very frank, funny, and ironic.

Simplifying Christmas

I've always loved wrapping presents for birthdays, Christmas, surprises, whatever. There's one picture I keep in my room (which is rare. I don't like having many pictures in my room) of me wrapping a present for my grandmother around age 4 or 5. I always feel so crafty wrapping gifts! Everyone used to think my mom wrapped my friends' presents! But no. It was I.

This year, instead of using our pretty wrapping paper my mom picked up for friend gifts, I decided to go my own route. I wrapped the surprises in a very Parrish fashion using old maps and homemade snowflakes. It was a lot easier and cheaper. I already had the old maps. Plus, it added a very personal touch and everyone thought it was really neat. Most of my friends tried to preserve and keep their map section!

So how do you wrap gifts? I've loved exploring wrapping ideas via Pinterest.

8 days until Christmas!!!!

Climb On

Last night I went indoor rock climbing with my Venturing Crew. It was loads of fun but I'm SO sore in my arms now! What a work out!

Happy weekend!

Today in lit we watched Great Expectations and in band we watched Harry Potter. So what am I saying? Today was a heavy British accent day. We like to try our hand at it like any other.

I can do a pretty fair accent but only really when I'm whispering. What's that about? When you have to speak out loud it all of a sudden gets SUPER intimidating for reasons beyond my knowledge. . .
So that's my British dreaming for today.

Also love love this movie and her accent.

I Hope You're Doing Well

Ran across this today....

I think I Am In Friend Love With You. Hilarious. The description says "because we've all been there right?" But my favourite part is the ending. So sudden. So stale. So wonderful. So overrated by my rambling. Enjoy!

Fine Arts

Tonight our school put on the first fine arts showcase. Dance classes, chorus groups, winter-guard (who did so well, you'd be proud), various band ensembles, and the band preformed. Also, art from the art classes were on display and I don't mean to toot my own horn (oh wow band and bragging pun!) but my art was hanging up and was very impressive-like (haha awkward....commenting on something you did yourself...).
Sara, Me, Emily, Zach with my drawing
Okay I have to defend my awkward pose here...
Emily had her arm over the top and so I had mine on the bottom and we looked hilarious...but also like rockstars. And then she moved her hand and I just looked suuuuper awkward... You know it happens though. Besides all that though, we look rather sharp wouldn't you agree?
Savannah, Me, Karena
I love these two girls like crazy. I want to go back...I love everyone in this post like crazy! Wonderful people! But more relevant to the picture: Savannah and Karena wore matching dresses and Karena and I wore matching hairbows, so basically we all matched and no one could tell us apart. :)

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!

Hey I'm in the purplish shirt helping my buddy Harrison string
Tonight in bible study we decorated the youth room for Christmas! We strung lights everywhere and made snowflakes and put up garland and banners and stockings! AND we did all this while jamming to Christmas music. If that isn't a wonderful night, I don't know what is. One of my favourite parts was when we many of us sang "Last Christmas" to each. Just the best.

And as to be expected...Jess had her own decorating ideas to get into the Christmas spirit.
19 days until Christmas!

What's in a Name?

Yesterday the annual baby names list was blogged about on A Cup of Jo. Even Ellen talked about baby names on her show yesterday! So I got to thinking about my current list of favourite baby names. Savannah and I shared favourite names with each other in math today too! So, here are adorable hipster children and my choice names to match them.

Everything She Does is Cats!

For some reason, I have it in my head that every girl should require at least one ugly cat object. Here are some to get the "yarn"-ball rolling (psshyeah! cat puns!) Oh and by the way...all of these are on my Christmas list...
