Zip Zip a Zippity Zip

Venture crew took an adventure on Sunday! We went to a place called Historic Banning Mills in Georgia. It was beautiful and really cool. It holds two world records 1) longest zip line tour and 2) tallest freestanding rock wall Umm.. yes!!!

They offer kayaking, hiking, horseback riding, zip lining, climbing, low ropes, tennis, etc. I definitely want to go back sometime to conquer the world records!
P.S. I think leading zip line tours is my dream job and my calling... haha :)

Les Mis

I want to see it so badly ever since I saw the school play (which was not as bad as I thought!)! It's consuming me... This want to see Les Mis!!!
I've watched every preview and clip I can and my MP3 only plays the soundtrack! Also, we've been playing it in band!

Safety Not Guaranteed.

I was interested in this movie ever since I saw the preview. I wasn't sure if it'd be any good or not (you know I mean time travel, okay...), so I didn't waste my money with a high theater ticket. The other day though, I was scrolling through Netflix and I saw this recently added gem.

It has an allstar cast (in my strange opinion). Aubrey Plaza, Jake Johnson, Mark Dupass, and even for a little bit, Kristen Bell (you know you love her xoxo). It was funny and fun to watch. The music was amazing and the set was good (it was filmed in Washington just like it takes place in--love when movies are filmed on location). I think you should definitely watch it. Also, the feelings in the scenes were very well created, I was SO SCARED in one part. Way to go!

And now...you guessed it, I want the movie and the soundtrack (as Ben says in Parks and Rec. "it's like your favourite directors made you a mixtape!")

Today I dressed like a yoga instructor. I felt very light, beautiful, relaxed, simple, and sporty. I highly suggest it.

Just pair sporty leggings with a flow-y dress, light sweater (depending on weather), character shoes, and light scarf. I also had my hair tied up in a Summer Finn type ponytail.
P.S. This Athleta dress. YES PLEASE!
P.P.S. I would very much like to learn yoga! I mean, I already look the part ;)

Today Zach gave me a thank you note. I don't know the last time I got a thank you note so it was very much appreciated and an awesome surprise! What a good kid. Moral of this post: I like thank you notes and remember to write them to your friends. Pass it on :)

I want to do this.
Yea! Large Group Performance Evaluation was on Tuesday. We made all superiors for the 13th straight year in a row! Way to go band!
P.S. This makes me laugh. And, I think about it every time I see Moderato. ;)

Dad and I have decided that we want to take guitar lessons together! I really want to learn and he wants to re-learn. So yea! We'll see.

Dear Girls Above Me

Have you heard of/read the twitter feed "Dear Girls Above Me". This guy named Charlie McDowell was driven to the point of social media when two ditsy girls in their twenties moved into the apartment above his. The bad news: he has to put up with it 24/7, but the good news: he tweets the ridiculous things they say along with his own sarcastic input for the rest of us!
Here are some of my favourites:

"They can't just put a gas station anywhere. It has to be above a gas hot springs" 'Good thing they flow on every busy street corner.'

"I wish I knew a veteran so I could get some of those great deals at Nordstroms." 'Life. Liberty. Discounted pillow shams.'

"Ellen DeGenerous is funny and all, but it's really weird how much she loves her car." 'Her wife's name is Portia.'

He's a Lonely Boy.

I've been listening to a lot of Dan Auerbach lately. He's a really great bluesy musician who you may know as grammy award winning producer of the year, or the singer and guitarist of The Black Keys.

Take a listen, you'd sure enjoy it.
P.S. don't watch the video (it's fan made). I hate videos because they tell you what to think! So do yourself a favour and click play and minimize the screen! Let the song be what the song needs to be to you!

P.S. cool Black Keys poster of "Boy with the Broken Halo" lyrics from etsy.

May I Purpose a Little Toast?

Can we just take a minute to thank me for finding this calender?
What a beautiful world we live in, that this is an option.
Go world.

Tripp and Brooker :)
Guess who Mom and I got to see today!? Little Tripp! And Graham, and Amanda, and Bob, and Keigh. We went to deliver girl scout cookies and I drove the whole way there and back....flawlessly I might add. :) More on that later.
Me and the little cutie :)
I can't believe Tripp is only 3 months! (he can grab things now!) He's so big! I'm glad he hasn't outgrown his precious chubby  cheeks. Ahh! What a cutie!

Mmmmm Yeah!

My finished creation :)
Laney made delicious cookies for bible study on Wednesday. They are scrumptious and super easy to make!
You take any kind of cake mix (I used funfetti cake mix) and follow the directions for oil and eggs but leave out the water (also be sure to preheat the oven to 375). Then you mix it together so it sticks together but is not runny  Now roll the mix into little one inch balls and stick them on a pan and bake for 10 minutes only! Boom! They are sooooo good. I added a little cream cheese frosting in flowers (skill courtesy of cake decorating class). You will love them! They are very good, quick, and something to be remembered when asked to bring a homemade good (phhla! Everyone's least favourite instruction).
