Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me.

So I'm a little very in love with this song.
That's all.

Gimme Some More'ah That.

We listened to this bumpin' French song today and it was maybe the best part of my day....other than that. ça va mal. :( I'm a little sick. Wahh boo bluh!!!

I also learned how to say "J'ai deux mères." meaning: "I have two mothers." I figured that all out on my lonesome :)

Inspired by one of my favourite Gilmore Girls moments:
LUKE: Hey there Damon.

DAMON: My mother’s a lesbian.

LUKE: Oh. [Pause] I brought my tools.

and later....

DAMON: Do you know any lesbians?

LUKE: Uh, uh, sure, I do.

DAMON: How many?

LUKE: Three, maybe four.

DAMON: Maybe four?

LUKE: Well, waiting on confirmation.

DAMON: I like lesbians.

LUKE: Yeah, they’re, they’re swell.

Aussi: "Charlie est mon chiot frère." meaning: Also, "Charlie is my puppy brother."
So clearly, French is going trés bein!
Aussi, Leighton is going to start being my French tutor! Yippe!

I Don't Want to be Like Cinderella.

So Bandathon goes like this...

 Lots of dancing...
Lots of "growl power"...
 And Papa Smurf....

These pictures were put together like they go together, they might and they might not, but either way, pretty wonderful.

Bandathon was super duper this year again. I have to say it was more fun this year because I was too foolishly self-conscious last year. I was all "I don't know how to dance! Oh my gosh! blah blah blah!" But this time I was like "I don't know how to dance! Wahoooo! Let's do thisssssss!" I guess it's true what they say, attitude makes all the difference because I even got told I was a good dancer! Whhhhhhat?! haha.

Our theme this year was movies and it went over like gangbusters. Three of my friends and I dressed up like the Cheetah Girls (I was Dorinda) and it was a blast! People were like "are y'all the Cheetah Girls?! I love them!"
One of the songs they played was Cinderella from Cheetah Girls and so the cheetahs did a little reunion performance for everyone in the middle of the dance circle. :)
Another song, possibly my favourite ever....was Just the Girl by The Click Five, which we shamelessly put on the suggestion list about a dozen times (no joke). We sang it everyday at band camp and continue to sing it at school and practice. We jumped around like maniacs and screamed out the whole thing. I'm going to be so jazzed when that song comes back in style. I bet The Click Five will too and I also bet I'll get back stage passes and free tee shirts and whatnot.
Look at how cute Chuchie is.

This is possibly my favourite picture of the night. My band director's entrance might as well have been the entrance of Tom Hanks or One Direction. We screamed and screamed and screamed some more. Luckily, I'm a pretty cute screamer, look at me on the left. *winky face and hand guns*

All in all, if you couldn't figure it out, it was a blast and I am still incredibly sore from three straight hours of dancing, and that's exactly how I know it was a great night :)

John French is my Homeboy.

I've really loved the local band John French and the Bastilles ever since I heard theire stuff last summer.

Well, I tried to order that beautiful shirt above and it never came in the time it said it would, so...I took action and wrote my local congressman and email asking where it was. I got a refund because apparently the site did not update and take this sale off like it was supposed :( so the shirts were all sold out. Next thing I know, I get a separate e-mail from John French himself. I was a little starstruck. hehe. Anyways he was like "I can send you some signed lyrics or the new cd for free" and I was like "wow! That's so generous! What happened to your old cd?"
So, my new pen-pal, John French, gave me all of their old music that you can't find anymore! Awesome! I've been jamming the past few days.
So uh, totally no big deal. haha.
Oh. But I still want the shirt if it ever comes back on sale (he said it might sometime). :)

Energetic, yet reserved kittens.
Today someone told a good friend of mine "you have a lot of energy" which lead us into a huge discussion.

Is telling someone that they have a lot of energy positive or negative? Ultimately, like everything else in the world, I think it depends on tone. This could be said snarkily and sarcastically or it could be said in fascination and admiration.
Here's where we landed:
  • One for insult
  • One friend brought up the point that saying it can make a person seem immature and/or negative
  • I said that even without the intention, it often ends up belittling or condescending to a person
  • One friend thinks it's indifferent. She argues that it was merely an observation.
What do you think? Roll it around a little. Use it in different situations  How does it sound now? Kinda weird right? Happy Monday to those with varying degrees of energy!

The Future.

The other day in chemistry, while we were playing contributing greatly to the world of science with our Bunsen Burners, I decided what I want to do with my life. Drum roll please.....

I would very much like to be a glassblower in Italy! I realized that playing with warmed up glass is just way too much fun and would like to continue doing it. It works out quite perfectly really. I love playing with fire (what? who said that?!) and I love making things and traveling! Win win win! See you in Italia!

I'll be making things like this :)

Fare Thee Well.

Have you heard of this new movie coming out? I want to see the movie, but even more then that I want to hear the soundtrack! The song alone in the trailer is incredible. I looked it up and all I could get was a poorly recorded performance at a concert.'s the Punch Brothers and Marcus Mumford so it's still the best thing ever. I can't wait until there is a real recording to listen to!

In the Details.

I was avoiding doing homework today when I randomly thought about how great it would be to have crazy earrings on your wedding day. Most brides go with pearls or diamond chandeliers, but I mean crazy earrings? Let's think about that a second. Ummmmm YES! Something blue perhaps?

Here are some combinations that just might work. (All wedding dress pictures from my pinterest)

 Earrings via Etsy

I'm sure I'm not the first person to think of this but it was still pretty fun to put together. What do you think about this...if you were a jewelry person?
